About Carolyn Sandel

Before founding Older Stronger Wiser Counseling, Carolyn spent over 20 years growing her expertise as a leader in the aging services field. Working with older adults and their families as the Executive Director of nationally recognized not-for-profit organizations in the Boston area has given Carolyn a unique perspective on the needs of older adults. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Carolyn now hopes to bring her seasoned and compassionate approach to families and individuals.

As the Executive Director of Goddard House Assisted Living, Carolyn spearheaded many initiatives including becoming the first Assisted Living in Massachusetts to gain national accreditation with SAGEcare as an LGBTQ friendly community.

Carolyn also developed a Parkinson’s Program to help individuals living with Parkinson’s and their caregivers to provide resources and support. The program has helped many individuals with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders to reduce their symptoms and increase their quality of life.

Carolyn holds a Certification in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy and can integrate holistic techniques into her practice.
